Hi !

I have Solaris 8 Core Install running on a Sparc Ultra-10.

Is there any way I can change the screen resolution to something higher ? I've seen the
screen-#lines and screen-#columns with the eeprom command,
but I don't know what are acceptable parameters.

Thanks a lot !

First find what type of card you have by doing :
/usr/sbin/fbconfig -list

Then when you know the card, issue the config command to configure it (could be ffbconfig or afbconfig or fbconfig or pgxconfig or m64config
Too bad I.T. is not cash business

I don't have the /usr/sbin/fbconfig utility. Maybe this is because this is a Core Installation of Solaris 8 ?

If I install the package for this command (fbconfig), will this really help me to have more lines/columns on the screen ? Cause I'm working only in text mode here, no X-Windows is installed.

Thanks !

Alex.

you are right, what I told you will not change the text resolution. The only I know to change terxt resolution is in the Xterminal setup itself. Too bad I.T. is not cash business
