I currently have a 4 pim system with 256 physical extensions. I added an extra 64 port licence to make this a 5 pim system. the only problem is that pim 04 (5) is a virtual pim with FP 02. also FP 03 is also a virtual Pim. This means that I cannot set up the 5th Pim as this needs to have FP02 as well. If i change it, my ISDNs or DITs stop working. How can I change the system configuration and keep everything else working? I cannot just re-program everything again as it will take forever. the software version is R3600 or 10.2 (i think).
Thanks,
Simon

If you are familiar with the mach script editor you can list everything up, export it into excel, manipulate the data then feed it back in.

Thanks for this. The problem is that I dont fully understand why FP 02 is set as virtual PIM and what purpose this serves. When I change this to physical as said, my ISDN as well as analogue lines stop working at some point. Does this have anything to do with the available time slots?

FP02 always controls the 5th PIM (04) whether virtual or real. I'm afraid thats where my experience on this ends as I can't see why this is affecting your ISDN. I suppose it comes down to what you have programmed in the virtual pim.

Dear Ozzie,
Thanks for your help. I have since figured this out. I had to change the virtual Pim to Pim 08 with FP 17. I used command 054 and 058 for this and then assigned FP 02 to Pim 04 as physical.
