Hi everybody,

we've got an HACMP cluster of 2 machines, with Both machines each having
2 Token Ring Adapters (1 Mainadapter and the other one as Standby
Adapter).

We now have to change the Standard Gateway...

Question is:

Where exactly do we do this ? As far as I know there are 2 different
Adpater settings under smit. One for boot purpose (as long as HACMP
isn't active) and the other one for HACMP. I know where to find the
first settings but I can't locate the other ones anywhere under "smit
hacmp".

Another question is: Is there anything I have to know ? Or isn't there
much I can do wrong, when just changing the Gateway Adresses ?

Thanks in advance !

Regards
Thomas

Thomas,

smitty cm_config_adapters
Change show chars. of adapters

A pop up list appears all boot, service and standby adapters exist in here.

If you are just changing the default gateway address ensure that afterwards you can ping all adapters from both machines, this will not impact HACMP.

Cheers PSD
