I've been searching but can't find what I'm looking for. We are currently running v4.5 but will be upgrading to 7.5 next month. I recall several months ago when I was researching changes to 7.5 that there was a new command to convert set types, like from a 2616 to a 3904 without using custom scripts in Procomm. Can anyone confirm if v7.5 has this capability, or if I have to continue to out and rebuild to upgrade these phones?

On a related note, one of our sister facilities is going through the upgrade process now, and claims the upgraded fried a ton of their 3904 phones. The phone comes up with a phone and an X through it on the display. They are going to toss the lot and replace with new. Could this just be a firmware issue with the new PBX version, and it must be pushed out to these older 3904s?

As far as I know, you can't change the set type from e.g. 2616 to a 3904. However there is an option for IP sets.

You will need to remove the sets first and then rebuild them as e.g. 3904 etc.

One point to mention here is to make sure that any Taurus M39xx phones have the latest firmware on them before you do the upgrade. I did see a record stating that problems happened after one upgrade.

All the best
