Is there a way, using VBA in Normal.dot or in a global template, to change the new Word2000 single document interface back to the multiple document interface we know and prefer?

I have users who open many Word documents at one time and don't want all those buttons on the task bar.

Please advise.

Snippet from I do not know where, so I'm sorry I cannot credit the right author:
This means that there are no Registry settings or configuration settings that control the SDI vs. MDI appearance of Word. The SDI interface is hard coded, and cannot be turned off. Many people have tried to come up with ways around the SDI interface, but since the change is hard coded into Word, these workarounds tend to be kludgy, at best, requiring the use of undocumented VBA functions and system macros. One potential solution that may work for some people (indeed, it is spoken of highly by several
