I did a search for similar posts. I came up with a link to this site: to take the DMChangeRes Xtra so that my Director movie can change the user's resolution so that my graphics ALWAYS take up the full screen, not just when they happen to have their monitor set to 640x480. I want to be able to change their resolution to 640x480 because that is what I made the graphics for.
Anyway, I downloaded the Xtra. I then created an Xtras folder and instealled DMChangeRes.x32 in the same directory as my ChangeRes.dir file is saved in. Why is it giving me an error when I play the movie? "Handler not defined"...It doesn't seem like it's seeing the Xtra.
Is it not just as simple as creating an Xtras folder? Apparently in the readme it is. I know that there is also the option go to Modify>Movie>Xtras and add a new Xtra, but when I do that, DMChangeRes is not in my list of Xtras to add.
