Changing report section height

I tried changing the height of the detail section of a report using code in the open event of a form based on a option group on a form (i.e. selecting first option would have the section height .1667 and the second option would have the height .5). This didn't seem to work then I came across this from the MS help...

"For report sections, you can't use a macro or Visual Basic to set the Height property when you print or preview a report."

Has anyone found a way to get around this?

You may have to first open the form hidden in design view, make the change, save it and reopen like usual.
