Is there a way to change the programs menu to be two columns instead of one. In windows 95 it did this automatically. I'm using windows 98. Currently it's in one big column so i have to scrole up and down to see programs.

Thanks
Scott

sorry, this isn't an option.. When Internet Explorer 4 came out (or was this part done in 5?) so long ago, you had the option of integrating it into the shell- if you did so, you ended up with the scrolling program menu, etc. If you want to downgrade to IE3 (or IE4 without the shell if you can find that), you can have your old Win95 setup again. Happy hunting :eek:)
Liam Morley
lmorley@wpi.edu
<a href=] :: imotic :: website :: [
"light the deep, and bring silence to the world.
Sabrog, you'll have to organize your programs list. Click start/programs and right click an entry in the Programs list and click explore. This will bring you under start menu/programs. From there you can organize your programs list. Click programs in the left pane and right click some where in the right pane. Select new folder and name it "games" then drag all your program menu entries that contain games into this folder. When you expand the games folder from the program menu you'll see all your games in one list. I also had a long list that I had to scroll up and down to view my programs. I created new folders such as microsoft office, financial, games, miscellaneous, etc and dragged and dropped the related program menu entries into the general folder. After organizing it now, when i pull up my programs list, there is no more scrolling to view my programs. I have one viewable list and everything expands outward to view. Let me tell you it is such a relief. Good luck!

I am curious about how to fix this problem, I know it is possible becuase I did it on my machine at home but I can't remember.

It is always a good idea to organize your start menu, it is more efficient and productive.
fenris
fenris@hotmail.com

I am interested in Mining Software, as well as Genetic Algorithms.
