I need to change the outbound port from 25 to 2525 because of differing requirements for 2 ISPs that I use. The Eudora FAQ talks about finding a file called "services" in the Windows folder, but Win XP has nothing of that sort.

Any thoughts or help will be appreciated. Greatly.

I read through the Help for Eudora 5.1. If I understand it correctly, you can open the Eudora.INI file and somewhere under the Mappings heading (I'd put this as the last line for the Mappings area) add the line:

SMTPPort=2525

Before you make this change, I'd copy Eudora.INI to a safe place and be ready to put it back if the change doesn't work.

Thanks, AccessDabbler. In the intervening time, I found a FAQ on the Eudora site for 6.0 that describes how to do it definitvely. In the /extrastuff folder, there is an .epi file that can be copied to the main Eudora folder. Then, when you open Tools/Options, down at the bottom there is a field to change the outgoing or incoming port to monitor. And it works beautifully. There is some wrong info in that FAQ as well, since they tell you to look for a file in the Windows folder, services.???, that does not exist. One does not need to do anything about that.

Thanks.
