Hi All,

Just looking for a little confirmation on the steps to swap out an SDI card. I'm moving from a Dual to a Quad SDI Paddle Board. Here are the steps if I remember correctly:

LD 37
Dis tty 2 and 3(TTY 2 is the XSM)
Hard ware disable the Dual SDI Paddle Board and Remove.

Fuzzy Part:Do I need to out those TTY's before I seat the New Quad SDI Paddle Board in the PBX or can I do this after I put in the new card?

LD 37

enl tty 0(new XSM tty)
enl tty 1(replaces tty 3)

Dip switches on the new SDI Card are already configured .

Thanks for the help! :)

I would disable them, out them, install new board and rebuild them and then enable them.

Are you going to be using the additional 2 ports on the Quad card?

I don't need to remove the system monitor card though, corret?

Correct, just disable that tty port for the system monitor

one last question.

One of those TTY's that I have to disable and out is the TTY for the XSM. Will outing the TTY for the XSM be an issue?

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

No, it will not be an issue. Just build it back when you are done and then do a STAT XSM in LD 37 and make sure it returns PWR000
