I need some help here. I have a BCM 400 installed and we are using a PRI connected to it.My Telco has changed the number and they start with a 2 now instead of a 3. where do i change the prefix number on the BCM400 configuration?. before it was 303 and now I want it to be 2303.pls help

So Telco is now sending 4 digits instead of 3? You need to change "Public Dn Lenght" from 3 to 4(don't worry about the message that will popup,it won't clear your target line data) and then put 2303 in the public receive field of your target line.Note that this does not affect your sets dn lenght which will remain the same.

Hi gberger
when I change the changing of the Prefix number on a BCM 400 I only do it on the box. what about the PABX system attached to it? don't I need to change something there.

I tried to check the DN Lenght but I couldnt find the older prefixed number. pls can you show me the steps again where to modify it !!!

I have added the number on teh Prefix list. currently I'm getting a busy tone when call from outside to my network. when I'm calling from inside Network to PSTN (Public) I can se the new prefix number added by the Telco. Please help. now I cannot get incoming calls

If you changed the recived leingth to 4 look in lines/target lines and change the digit there.

I have changed the Dn Lenght to 4 and chnage the target lines digit. The PRI is up and the the Telcom has put in the digit. So when going out it reflect the digit but now when I'm calling fron outside .it gives a message that the Dial Number does not exit .

what sholud I do next now?? pls help.I'm stuck

Which DN lenght did you change? It has to be the Public DN lenght, putting it to "4" means that you are going to receive 4 digits from the Telco. Then you add the forth digits to all your target lines.
So if the Telco is now sending you "2303" instead of "303" and that you did put "2303" in your target line it should work.
You could use Bcm Monitor and CDR client to troubleshoot.
