Jan 23, 2002 #2 marrow Technical User Jul 20, 2001 425 US This is from some old notes Deleting / Creating NIS+ Server cd /var/nis rm -r * rm /etc/.rootkey reboot nisserver -r -d york.xx.co.uk. nispopulate -F -p /etc -d york.xx.co.uk. (however may lose services group and passwd entries) or NIS+ Building a Root Master Server on server: nisserver -r -d york.xx.co.uk nispopulate -F -p /etc -d york.xx.co.uk. nislog | wc -l nisping -C york.xx.co.uk. nislog | wc -l (list log entries) nisls org_dir (list tables) niscat hosts.org_dir (list entries in host table) reboot That's all I have time for, hope this helps Upvote 0 Downvote
