Hi,
As you anderstand I'm new to mysql.
I installed Mysql 3.23.55 on my Win2K OS and as default the server executable is mysqld-nt.exe
I would like to replace it with mysqld-max-nt and all I tried including mysqld-max-nt --install give my a notice that the service allready exist.
I even disabled the server from the windows service. How 1.can i do an elegant change?
2.What is the difference between mysqld-max-nt to mysqld-max? Can win2k work with mysqld-max as well?
Thanks

In win 2000 you can run the file c:\mysql\bin\winmysqladmin-nt.exe, select the my.ini setup tab and set the server file to MySQL max.

The difference in vers 3.23 between nt and max should be InnoDB support only.

Bye
