We are converting a 16 port digital to a 30 port digital
can we do this hot (??)... they have an exsisting 403 with just a 16 port digital on expansion 1 ......shouldn't the IP office see the new module is the control tree ...

*What is the proper way to do this ...shut down 403
reboot with 30 port digital in exp 1

*Will the config still think the 16 port module is
attached ( yes) can I just right click the mouse(delete option)while high lighting the module in the control tree to remove the (old)16 port ...does this effect my extensions id other then add 16 more (??)

*never really had to swap out a module other then replace
exsisting with same type

We are also adding Phone Manager Pro "unlimited" (New License)to Ip Office shouldn't it be just as simple as choosing "pro" option from the users client Manager once the License has been loaded ...in other words should the
Phone Manager client see it now has the "pro" option (??)
if not do you have to reload it on each customer's work station

1) the IPO will require a rebot to see the change in module.
It is not normaly necessary to delete the old moodule 1st but would not do any harm.

2) PM Pro, Add the licence & enable Pro in each user (V2+), then restart each copy of phone manager.

Not wise to delete the old module first as you will end up with the new 30 port with default numbering, just install the new unit reboot and the system will detect unit and add the xtra 14 exts onto the end of the existing extensions, system number plan allows for a 30 port unit on each expansion port so you will only need to change ext numbers for the new users. If running v2.1 and changing to PM Pro you dont need to restart PM , you will get a message on screen saying it has been changed.
