hi,

in a report with outer join some of the metric values are null and displays nothing... how do i display 0 or - when a metric value is null... i tried in Schema->SQL generation options->Advanced->Null display options but that doesn't help...

thanks

I think you are in the correct section.
Make sure you type '0' in all 4 spaces.
Other than that I dont know what to tell you.
I like the earlier version of 7 where you could change the NULL Display at the metric/report level.

make sure you update schema as well before re-running the report...

i did but still doesn't display the value i entered in Schema->SQL generation options->Advanced->Null display options... will that display the entered value if a metrics value in outer join is null in MS7...

i also tried NullToZero() but of no use...

thanks

this is likely a bug then and you should let their tech support know so they can fix it in a service pack.

when i give 0,0 in Schema->SQL generation options->Advanced->Null display options... it works perfectly.. i dunno the use of "," there but works perfectly... 0,- displays - in the report....

thanks
