Changing MAXUPROC 1

I've found how to change this parameter but I've found conflicting infomation how to make the change effective. One source of information says it's a dynamic parameter and does not require a reboot. While the smit help says a reboot is necessary to make the change effective. Can anyone clear this up?

You have to boot only if you are decreasing the parm.
