Hi Everyone,

We need to change an IP Address of VLAN1 (management) interface. Will this drop clients off and if so any idea how long? We also have voice on another VLAN (72). Will this be affected also? I just wanted to ask around and see if there were any potential problems or much downtime involved.

Thanks!

Allo,
no as long as you have a trunk witch your router and the vlan is availalbe.

Your clients will not be affected.

bye

It all depends on what that IP does. If it's only the IP address of the switch and it does nothing else than no, it won't affect users on that vlan.

If on the other hand that IP is a gateway of somesort, then it will kill access to the gateway for your users.
