We are going to move SCCS 4.2 and SWC 4.0 from one Site-ID to another Site-ID.

New key-codes are delivered from Nortel Networks, both for SCCS 4.2 and SWC 4.0.

Changeing Site-ID and key-codes on SCCS are no problem.

The question is how to change the Site-ID and key-codes on SWC 4.0?

Thanks!

SWC doesn't care who it is talking too!!! You can use the old keycodes if you wanted to. I would hope that Nortel would send you SWC 4.5. In that case, sounds like a new install. I would reload the OS and the application. SWC uses both DNS and IP address to talk with the SCCS. Other than that..... It's dumb!

TWM, so why does the installation of SWC 4.0 require the Site-ID? Is it only for validating the key-codes?

That's it. Nortel will show your site ID registered with keycodes and licenses for your PBX, SCCS, SWC, and other products. However, only the SCCS cares about the site ID (PBX serial no.). You could use the SWC to interface with another SCCS, as long as it is 4.2 or higher. Have you had these keycodes for long? SCCS 5.0 has been out for a whihle now, and SWC for longer than that -- SWC 4.0 is essentially obsolete. You might want to doublecheck that.
