Has anyone ever changed the ip address used to install the Novell 51? We are running NAT configuration, changed from a 4.1 to 5.1 Novell file server. And have sinced disconnected the 4.1 server. We are running internet ok now, but I don't want any other problems to occur later because it was not changed in the router to ISP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Millsy

As long as you have updated stuff like your DNS entry (if applicable), then you should be ok. If it is a multiple server environment, are they all talking and replicating NDS ok?? -----------------------------------------------------

I am only a single server environment, how do I know if I am on the latest DNS entry?
Thanks

If you are using a Windows NT v4.0 Server/Workstation or above, you can use the command NSLOOKUP from the command prompt.

Good Luck.

Or you could always ping the server by name and see what IP address it resolves to? -----------------------------------------------------
