Changing IP address for IPO and UC module 11.1 5

Customer has changed their network and want to change the IP address/ subnet and DG of the IP Office and the UC Module.

Seems simple enough but I wanted to see if there are any best practices or gotchas.
I I have seen 2 ways to change the IP address on the UC Module.

Using the webpage or connecting a monitor and mouse up to UC Module and change it through CLI.

Which it the better way. I have heard that the web page isn't always reliable and even if it does look like it changes it does not.

Anyone have any suggestion on best method?

I have always used the webpage. Just make sure you change the address of the UCM first then the IPO if not you will not be able to get to the UCM.

I've done it via the web interface a few times. Be sure to write down old address (including subnet and gateway! and any vLAN notation). Then change it to the new address information and save. Go back to the "System" tab and find and hit the Shutdown button.

THEN change your IPO address/subnet/gateway (don't forget the IP Route piece). Once that's complete, shut down the IPO Chassis, and once that's complete, pull the power cord. Wait 10-15 seconds or so and plug it back in.

You should now have both devices on your new subnet.

TIP: Make sure you write down the LAN2 port IP information in case you need to hook up to it to get back into the IPO. It also wouldn't hurt to have an HDMI monitor, keyboard and mouse to hook up to the UCModule if it all goes sideways.

I ended up using the Web Page to change the IP address. It worked like a champ.
