I am going to put my test HACMP clusters into production. How do I change the node name and service address? These must be the same as my current production server.

Just a question are you using IPAT via aliases?

And do you want to change the IP only or the name as well in the HACMP?

If it is the IP then i think this can be easily done from the /etc/hosts (after changing the IP on the adapter)

I will come back to you on the changing the node name after i log in to my server and check

Regards,
Khalid

smitty hacmp-->Extended Configuration-->Extended Topology Configuration-->Configure HACMP Nodes-->Change/Show a Node in HACMP Cluster-->select node serverA-->then Enter a new Node Name

It is better to stop the cluster before doing so!

Khalid

You can change the Service IP by
smitty hacmp-->extended configuration--->HACMP extended resource configuration--->configure HACMP Service label/Addresses--->Change/Show a Service IP label Address--->select your IP/label there then enter.
