We are currently usedin cognos impromtu for ad hoc reporting. I have several users who want to make their "personal newsboxes" . Even though I have specified in the Access manager that these users cannot create their personal newsboxes they still get the option. NEW--> NEWSBOX
If they click on this option another window opens up where they cannot do anythign basically. But this is confusing and I keep getting questions about it. I was wondering if there was a way to chage the interface or make a dynamic interface based on the users permissions where a user should not see the NEW -- NEwsbox button unless he has the permissions to make a newsbox.
I figure its a web interface so there should be some html code or script that I could change to accomplish this .
