What's the correct procedure for changing the interface ID? I know that the D-channel must be disabled, but in what LD do you make the actual change? Thanks In Advance.

I'm not sure what you mean by interface ID but you would probally change it in LD 16 RDB or LD 17 CFN

I'm sorry if I wasn't very clear before. I'm talking about the interface ID that's associated with the D-channel of a ISDN-PRI circuit. In a Definty, you have a interface ID for the D-channel. I know there's the same for Nortel, I wanted to know the procedure for changing it. Thanks In Advance.

Can you tell us what the interface ID is now and what can you change it to, it might give some of us a clue about what it is your talking about.

Here's how it's currently setup.

In order to change the ID in the ADAN you have to out everything and then rebuild

Hi,

If you want to change the DES of a DCH, you must disable the DCH in LD 96 (DIS DCH X)

Then go to LD 17 REQ: CHG -> TYPE: ADAN -> ADAN: CHG DCH X when you get the DES prompt it will show you the old DES. If you want to change it you must first delete it by type an X with the EXACT current DES. After that you type the new DES and enter until you receive the REQ prompt again.

Enable the DCH in LD 96 (ENL DCH X) and you’re done.

Hey Thicks70,

To change the interface ID first you have to out all the trunks associated with the DCH and route. You then have to disable the DCH in LD 96....make sure you have the auto enable off. Go to LD 17 and out the DCH....then rebuild it with the right interface...prompt IFC. Then go to LD 16 and change the route to be the right interface....the same prompt, IFC. Rebuild all your trunks and enable the new DCH.

Hope this helps
Tim

I'm attampting to remove all trunks from the route, but I can't remove the last three. I get an error SCH3179, something about reserved trunks. Any clues?
