Hey, all.

I've got a customer who changed their dial-out code to 8 instead of 9. They've got all 5600 series IP phones, and any calls that comes in gets prepended with a 9 in the Log function on the phone, even after this change. There is no prefix setup on the Lines (analog lines), so I know that the option is not in Manager by the looks of it.

So, I went sifting through the 46xxsetting.txt file, trying to find the appropriate field to change. I set "SET PHNOL 8" and tried it out with that, but still no go. Anyone know what setting it is to change this?

Thanks in advance.

make sure there arent any ## signs before that entry in the .txt file.

Nope, took those out of the line. Is that what the option should be?

Reboot the phones again
If that does not work then remove everything you do not need from the text file and reboot again

Make sure when you reboot your extensions that your Manager of 3rd party TFTP server is running so that your phones can get the 46xxsettings file.

And that you tftp path is set to the right location.

It works! Now if only I could remember what I did...

Yup, I've tried rebooting the phones with SolarWinds TFTP running on the VMPro server set to the Manager directory. TFTP address is the VMPro server..

Definitely odd. I'll try going through the settings file again and figure out what I do and don't need.

Thanks.
