I have a client who is wanting me to create a website for his business. However, he wants to be able to change prices on his products whenever he wants. I haven't been doing this too long so any help would be much appreciated. I currently use Plain HTML or FrontPage. Thanks.

Teach him how to use frontpage, and how to FTP.
If the page is that simple, frontpage will work fine, unless you want to teach him enough about HTML to do it in notepad. Cheers,

This may or not be of help.
If there is multiple pages with the same prices etc. you can use a program called Hutmil.
Their website is
This allows multiple changes with find/replace etc.
You can alter all your site by clicking a few buttons.
The program is easy to use.
I`ll leave it up to you.

I know what I would do... I would offer him a monthly 'maintainence' contract and do it for him...or I would say 'Heres a HTML tutorial, have fun'....or I would tell him you could make it so that he could update it himself, charge him a fortune for the privilage and either use php to make a dynamic price page or get one of the many,many programs designed to do exactly this.

Many Web hosts offer Miva Merchant as part of their e-commerce packages, ranging in price from $25 to $50 US and up. Miva Merchant offers a fairly straightforward Web-based interface that would allow the client to change prices on products. Robert Bradley
