Changing hostname and IP addresses...

Right, let me first say I've been working with AIX for ten years so I *thought* I knew how to change a hostname but something's clearly going wrong... Or maybe it's just one of these Monday mornings...

I cloned an HA cluster and have changed the cluster settings. I have a couple of problems and I'm by far an HA expert:

1. I cannot change the hostname of the system. Well, I can, but a reboot will bring the old one back. I've deleted the old name from the hosts file and it's not in the AIX or HA ODM. What's going on? HA doesn't start up at boot either, so don't think it's an HA thing...

2. When is the persistent address supposed to be set and by what? In AIX, I set a boot address on each adapter but after booting, HA still off, the first adapter has the persistant address rather than the boot address. Why? Again, it's not listed in the AIX ODM anywhere...

This is driving me crazy now :) Please help...

Right, it was the Monday morning thing... Some **** had put this stuff in rc.net :)
