Hi, we have a Hipath 4000 lab switch with an anlog trunk card that was programmed as groundstart by default. We are trying to change it to loopstart to use with our test outside lines which are loopstart.

We are running into errors when trying to set the CIRCIDX parameter. It was set to "1" when it was groundstart, but it won't accept "1" for a loopstart setting. We can't find a number that it will accept so far.

1. As the highest priority for us-Is there a standard or default loopstart CIRCIDX number that can be used. Or is there a command to display or change CIRCIDX parameters to see which one we can use.

2. A secondary question is what is the easiest method/command to use to set an inoming destination to a single station? On the Hicom 300 we used to set a Hotline destination station and that worked fine. With the new command sis there an equivalent? Or do we have to use something like LOCANA/REMANA as a night answering station-and if so how do we set the switch to night mode?

We don't want to use LCR for right now, just the simplest method to route an incoming all to a station.

Ok, we were able to get around a CIRCIDX entry-simply using the default when adding a new TACSU works.

However, the other important thing is to choose LPSTR as the DEVTYPE. There are a few selections that look appropriate and they may be for specific situations. For general standard use LPSTR should suffice.

The other problem is routing the incoming call to a station.

We have set INIGHT parameter to the incoming destination, this is not working so far.
Is there a Hicom 300 "HOTDEST" equivalent setting in the Hipath?

As for calling out, we don't want to use LCR if possible. We tried setting a WABE number, with a DAR for CO, but there is one already in the switch. The number 0 is set for 3 different DARs, one of them is CO.

In the TACSU record use parameter "DITIDX" points to ---->

AMO HOTLN:HOTDEST

NOTE: In the COT add parameter: DIT.

In WABE set DAR for TIE, you can have as many as need, but using CO only one is allowed.
