Hi!
I desperately need help. I have created 2 subreports which each represent different types of information. For example:
In report (1) - I display the YTD information
In report (2) - I am displaying only MTD information
In report (3) - I am displaying only QTD information.

Problem is -- I want each set of reports to display the corresponding Type of Report being displayed and I want all my subheadings to reflect the correct label too.

Can you please tell me how can change the data and headings to be appropirate to the data I am running?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

is there any data in your main report, or is it just the headings? and are you parameters set up for you to enter a date range or does it ask YTD / MTD / QTD ?

if it is the latter you could always have three different report/page header sections each with conditional formatting so that they are suppressed or visible depending on which of the options are choosen... i am sure there is an easier way; but its hard to tell without knowing more details about your main report... (at least for me it is, but i do more asking here than anything else)...

good luck...

inspiring to some day experience [idea] ...

You might create a faux group in each report to maintain the header information specific to that report.

One example is to use something like:

If {table.SomeField} <> "&FJLNEQWhfdos22##!83" THEN
1
else
0

Which would place everything into one group, select the repeat group header on every page in options, and place your information in the group header.

A bit of a cheat, but it works.

cmpgeek,
what i want to do is show all three reports, not just mtd, or ytd, or qtd. Additionally, I want to be able to label the group according to the type of information being displayed. I've tried to use the conditional group header but to no avail. I'm probably doing something wrong -- so if ANYBODY can help me I would desperately appreciate it.

How do you define 'Type of information'?

If source is something you control, and that the computer has no easy way to recognise, one possible fix would be to make the name a parameter which you enter and which the main reports pass on to the subreports, which then display it.
