Hi folks!

Here is my problem:

I just put a new harddisk in my machine. Before that I had a disk with two partitions. They had the letters 'C:' and 'D:' under DOS/Windows98. Now the first partition of my old disk is 'C:' (as before) but the new harddisk is 'D:' and the second partition of the old disk is 'E:'. This is bad. I want my old disk to get back to 'C:' and 'D:' and have the new one as 'E:'.
Is it possible to do this without a tool like 'PartitionMagic' ?

Thanx.

This is one of the quirks of MS. First partition of first drive is C:, first partition of next drive is d:, until your primary partitions of all your drives are identified. Then they start on extended partitions.
You could always xcopy everything from the new E: to the new D: then clean off e:.
Partition magic won't help you.
