Changing GroupWise Language

I've inherited a GroupWise 5.5 setup using English US - short of re-installing is there any way to cahnge this to English UK? If we have to re-install can we do so without losing the address books and users? I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

There is no need to change. There is no english - UK version. All that happens is the label you see says uk. But if you change it you have to rename any file that has ??????us.??? to ??????uk.???. There are loads. Instead, just change the client to use english spellchecker. This is done by

1. Create a new mail.
2. Click in message body.
3. Select tools, Writing tools language. Select English uk.
4. OK
5. Cancel email.

You will now have The correct spelling of colour.

And if your worried about the US style date you can go to:

tools -> options -> date & time then click on the format tab. There should be something saying Groupwise genral format with a box underneath that you can open and change.
