I have a requirement to print report that switches from portrait and landscape between two frames (M2 and M3). M2 is the summary frame whereas M3 is the detail frame that displays a lot more data requiring it to be printed on landscape. M2 and M3 are inside the main frame (M1). The report needs to print M2 (only one page that is portrait) and M3 (needs to display on landscape) and repeats the above sequence until the end of the report.

Have the content of M3 frame all placed vertically. To achive this, repeating frames print direction should be set as "Across", the labels can be turned vertically using Rotate tool on the instrument panel. Fields can not be turned vertically, but you can use labels to display columns. To do this, label text has to be &<column_name_here>

Thanks Nagornyi for the info.

I tried the advice you recommended and it worked great. This was an excellent idea and there is a lot of work that needs to be done to accomplish this task. Is there another way of accomplishing the requirement on switching the output from portrait to landscape and back again to portrait. For example, executing another report at the end of M2 whereby the 2nd reports output would be landscape.

Once again, thanks for providing me with a solution to my problem.

Three sections of the report layout - header, main, and trailer can all be set with different paper sizes. This can be used to switch between portrait and landscape up to 2 times:
either portrait-landscape-portrait or landscape-portrait-landscape.
If more switches are needeed, an option may be to create portrait and landscape reports independently and then call them in loop from another report using srw.run_report function.

We've tried using the trailer section of the report for the landscape and it works fine but when the report runs the main section (portrait) prints first then the trailer section (landscape). The users want the summary page (portrait) first then the detail page (landscape) and back again to print the next summary page. We've not used the swr.run_report function but it seems like you've given us another option. Thanks again for all your help.
