I have a form with controls that I wish to hide under certain conditions. I can make the controls invisibe and change the height of the detail section, but the height of the form (when it displays) doesn't change. How can I do this? Thanks!

This might or might not help. I found an example of a form that does that, but not quite the way you describe. In this case, when you click a button to show more, it opens an almost exact duplicate (with the hidden stuff) and closes the one without.
