changing fonts to lines

I need to machine some letters. I was wondering if it's possible to convert a font to workable lines/arcs. I need to create some dxf files to send to a point to point machine. Any suggestions would be great!

If you have Express Tools installed, the command is TXTEXP (for text explode).

Do you want to send these fonts to Prototype maschine?
Its .STL extension.

where it takes point to point as you have said.

if thats the case you can change the fonts into lines.
