Changing font pitch for deskjet on linksys printserver.

Hello,
I am having trouble changing the font pitch for a printer on a customer's system running openserver 5.05.
The printer is an HP deskjet 842c hooked up to an Linksys EFSP42 2 port printserver. I have tried setting up an interface script to get the printer to print with a pitch of 17 but it still prints with a pitch of 12. It seems to just ignore the interface script. Anyone have any suggestions?
