Ok, here's a weird one.

I have a text frame in one document. The font is New Baskerville ITC by BT. I copied and pasted the text frame into a different document. When I check the font of my pasted text, it was ITC Kabel.

I noticed a preference "Preserve Text Attributes when Pasting" but setting this had no effect. (The things I've read are indicating it's only for when you paste from another application such as Word).

Dragging the text frame has the same problem.

Any ideas?
Thanks, Susie

Ah, here's the answer to my own question after searching the forums on Adobe's site.

If your text box from document 1 has a style, and that same style name exists in document 2, it will be applied. In this case, both documents had the style of Normal but were the two different fonts.
