Changing Finanacial Year

Hi All,

Am changing the financial year of a company from 1st April - March 31 to 1jan to 31st dec.

Whats the procedure to do this plus historical records.

Create a new company with the new year end
Export GL transactions
Import GL transactions in new company and assign the new year and period
Merge the data for the other modules into the new company.

I have two questions

How do i merge the data from the other modules?

How do i take care of the balances in GL i.e do i re post the GL transactions again once i import.

Merge the modules with a dump/load.
Yes you post the transactions after importing.
