I am modifying an Access DB and I need to change all references to the word "Consultant" to "Adviser". This word is in many field and table names, plus about 50 queries and 20 reports rely on this data. My question is: Is there any efficient way of going through a database and changing one word to another other than using "Find"?
I tried doing it the slow way (going through each query, etc and substituting the words manually and using the find button), however there are all sorts of errors!

Hi!

MS Access 2000 (I'm not sure about Access 97) make changes in the queries based on changed tables automaticaly. Accordingly you can change only field names and/or table names - wherewithal all queries will be changed automaticaly. If you have VBA codes which include changed field and/or table names you may change these manualy (use <Replace All> with option <Current Project>). Hereto you must change control sources in the forms and reports.
Of course, you can write complicate program for upgrade your application but I think it's not worth one's while.

Another soloution is "SpeedFerret" this is a commercial package, with "Industrial Strength" capability - and corresponding PRICE TAG. BUT it WILL do the job!
