Trying to switch from centera to netapp as my preferred ESM. Just worried that the centera calls will not playback after the change. Also does anyone know it netapp needs an ESM license from Nice?
Thanks
hi. the title of the question is centera are you referring to emc centerra?
If so basically the unique identifier (Content Address (CA in emc speak), is stored in cls database under vcarchive colums and is the reference used to retrieve the call. as long as the emc is still accessible and the cls database is online then you will be able to access these calls if you switch to switch to netapp (remember the default for cls retention is 7 yrs). when changing to netapp dont change existing storage/groups within storage center admin and create a new storage/group with whatever retention
to change to netapp if not snaplock you need to create a user on netapps that storage center service uses to have read/write to a folder of your choice.
please do by \\urn\folder name and (dont use ip address)
