Changing sets from 2008/2616 to new M3903/3904. Is there an easy way changing equipment types ? Then going back and changing the keys.

Right now, I just "out" the set then "add" the new set.

Opt 61C with OTM.

Thanks,

you can use script files in procomm, but they do the same thing, a type change is a rolm feature, but has never been included in the sl1 software

be careful, we put in some 3904's and it ini'd the loop.

make sure you out the old config, remove phone, plug new in, thn configure.

we lost a shelf's worth of calls........

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

that is common with the newer rls if the software and the phone are a mismatch.. very bad if you program 3900's and then don't change the 2000 series phone... had a user that was changing out a card at a time, out the old build the 3900's and then walk to the sets... that "tech" no longer works at that site...the ipe does a restart, then when it does a sdl 100... it restarts again...

btw... to prep for a upgrade i ran a ld 117 inv generate sets... pulled it up in excel and had it compare software with chipset... 70 bad out of 6000, not that bad but i am glad i didn't upgrade with that... some of my rebuilt 2616's had 2008 chip sets.. some had serial number ffffff.. now this cust uses Bell South as a single source provider, it's a little costly to replace 70 working sets.. which is what they are doing
