Hi hope someone can help I've jst recently taken over a network running NT4 and Exchange 5.5.
At present exchange is running on no more than a standard PC, but I am building a server for this task. What I have to do is set up exchange for everyone who is currently using it but change the format of their email address
i.e old surname-initial@company.co.uk
to new name.surname@company.com
How do I achieve this?
do I start afresh and import the users from NT4?
are their any useful parts of exchange I should be aware of while doing this

Thanks in advance

all that is is the smtp address.. you can hand change them in MSExchange Admin, double click the mailbox, click on email addresses.. now you may want to keep the old one so there is no interruption in service, ie someone sends mail to old address and user does not receive it.
if you do delete the old smtp address that is all you have to do, if you dont delete it simply click on set as reply address and you should be good to go
