Changing DSN

hi

i have a rpt which uses a DSN connection and this DSN connection pertains to the Database on the developers PC. When i distribute this rpt to users, thr rpt doesnt refreshes and still shows the old path in the DSN where as the actual DSN on the system points out to a different path. Is there a way i can have my current DSN in rpt point towards the database i chose.

I am having a similar problem. Where you able to fix it? If so do you have any suggestions?

It has been a problem with crystal all along. It retains the database details used to develop the report. This permiates through sub reports and other objects. I have had to write vb code to launch reports against a chosen database that traverses through the subreports setting the database to the required production database.

I am told that i dont need to do this when using the 8.5 report viewer - but i havnt yet checked this out.
