Quite a dilemma! Active Directory server crashed, and had to be rebuilt. In doing so, new domain was created.

Servers and desktops had to be dropped into a workgroup, and then added to the new domain.

NBU server did NOT like this scenario, and is now having MAJOR problems. All components (Policies; STU's; Volumes; Images) are available on the server. However, the host will not stay Active for Disk and Tape.

NBU Server: W2K3 server, running NBU 6.0 MP4, and using an LTO Gen II external tape drive.

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!
Bob

Thanks,
Bob

Have you attempted basic network/name resolution troubleshooting?

As you know, NBu is very name dependent on name resolution. I'd start there.

Next, there must be some hangup with domain permissions and/or the domain membership. Usually the event log will show errors if there's anything funky with the domain on the clients.
