Hey all,
One of my customers has a BCM 400 with T7316e sets at their current location. They are opening a satellite office for their management group, most of which have existing DN at the main location. I have established a VPN and have some IP 2004 sets working at the satellite office. These are new DN. My question is regarding the people that want to keep their existing DN. When I register the IP sets, can I assign them as the existing DN and have them come up automatically, or do I have to assign them as new DN, then do a DN change and then reassign the DID lines? Thanks.
Doug

you need to reassign the dn to an ip set and reassign the did lines

then when you configure the ip set use that dn

if they want their t7316 to stay the same but be able to have both phones ring when that DID is called then assign the target line to the ip phone as well

or you could program an answer dn

Hello Doug

You can renumber the existing T7316 sets to another number and then use that number on the new I2004 IP phones. Remember to assign the target line to the new set if one existed on the wired phones for DID calls. You might also need to delete the target line on the original set.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.
