Hello
I have a Modular ICS 3.0 with a Norstar Voice Mail model 4 in one of my remote sites. I need to increase the DN length from 3 to 4 digits. I read that when increasing the DN length the system automatically adds the digit 2 to the front of the extension. In this instance I need to add a 0 to the end of each extension.
Is there a way to do this system wide or do I have to go to each individual extension and change it? Any other things I need to look out for when changing the DN length.
Thanks

If you dont want the 2 in front the only other way would be to default your system and set the templete up again. To do that you would have to power the system down power it back up then once you get the time and date again you would do feature ** startup
pswd 266344

IF you follow the steps - you will be fine make sure you set your templete up - then you will need to set what you want the starting dn to be.

If you do the startup on the system it will wipe all your existing programming out.

HOpe this helps

Thank you Norstar girl. It sounds like it would be easier to simply increase the DN length then change each extension to the desired number. Its only about 20 extensions.
Thanks

HELP
I changed the DN length from 3 to 4 and now my voicemail has shut down. No auto attendant, no access to voicemail, and none of the feature codes for the VM are active. Will power cycling the VM return my access?

Your voicemail still thinks you are three digits.
Power down one more time, power up again. Let it run a good 5 minutes then try a F903 first. It should tell you your feature code range. Just say okay to it. Then do a F983. It might ask you for password instead of log. It is looking for 266344. Run through your configuration. Usually you just say ok or next to everything and let it set up.
Then you can do the normal feature 983 and log in as usual.

If that does not work try F**XFTEST to see if the Feature codes are there. Then do F 9*1 or F903.

Good Luck!!
