Hi,

We have a system that produces a file listing deliveries to our stores. I need to be able to change the membership of the distribution groups based on the contents of the file so I can email the stores. I need to run this process once a week.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a script, commands, post or AD and Exchange features to get me started? I have searched the forum but I have not been able to find anything baseing group membership from a file.

We are running Windows 2003 R2 SP2 and Exchange 2003 SP2.

Thanks in advance

Phil

You could use dsmod to change the membership of the group. You'd likely need to crawl the folder with something like vbscript, and spawn an instance of dsmod to make the changes.

Thanks for the info. Any pointers on where to go for info on vbscript?

Thanks Phil

As in learning it from scratch?

Pat has correctly identified that you need a programmed solution to your current problem. Are you sayng you need us to help you learn to program as well? Or are you just looking for a pointer as to how to use the tools that manipulate AD from a script?

Sorry I should have been more specific. I'm refering to the tools that can manipulate AD.
