Hi, we've got a Production box which has a VG with one XP24000 array disk. There are filesystems mounted on that VG.

We want to substitute the disk in the VG (by other XP lun) without unmounting the FS pertaining to that volume group. Is there any way of doing this??

You can add the new lun to the VG and then migratepv the LVs for these filesystems. You can then remove the old lun with reducevg.

Another option is to mirror this VG on the new lun then unmirror from the old lun. This is more or less the same as migratepv, but in 2 steps. You can then remove the old lun with reducevg.

Both of these options can be done without unmounting the filesystems.
