..to 0. I remember seeing a way to do this. I'd like new tasks to default to a priority of 0. Any clues?

I don't know of a way to set a new default for the task priority. The programmed default is 500 except for recurring tasks where it is 1000. (In P98 the priorities are descriptors like "very high", "high", "very low", etc. -- about 7 or 8 of them.)

You could display the Priority column, set the field on the first line to 0 and then drag it down the remaining rows and then press Ctrl+D to distribute it.

Given that you have a range of 0-1000 and you want it to start at 0, I think I'd leave well enough alone. You still have 499 degrees of granularity - I doubt I've ever used more than 5 in a project.
