Changing default location for saving files when using Office, etc.

I have set up a folder on my route drive for saving my files rather than using Documents & Settings. Does anyone know if its possible to set this location as the default for saving files as opposed to the typical Documents & Settings as its a bit of a pain having to select the path each time I want to open or save things.

Under tools and options under the general tab there is an option to set the default location for opening and saving files. You might have to do this for all Office applications and not just the one.

Sorry should say that setting a default location for Office docs I have just found in options but just wondering if there is a system wide setting for this originating from the OS itself.
