When you try to save a web page the default setting is:

Web page, complete

Is it possible to change this to:

Web archive, single file

as default

Cheers

elziko,

No, but it's possible to remove Save As...Web Page, complete by editiing the registry:

backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
Right-click on the Internet Explorer key, choose new>Key, name it Infodelivery. Right-click on the Infodelivery key, choose new>Key, name it Restrictions. Right-click on the Restrictions key, choose new>DWORD value, name it NoBrowserSaveWebComplete and give it a value of 1.

I'm not certain as to what the default then brings up.

The key you refer to was not there. I created it including all subkeys and the DWORD value.

This then removed all the save options apart from "Web Page Complete" and "All Files".

I'm on NT4 with IE6

Any further ideas??

Thanks

Hmmm!

I'm on Win98SE & IE6, mine left the Web Archive, single file and Web Page, HTML only entries.

I don't have a NT4 machine.
