changing default file locations in Master

I need to change the default location of MDF/LDFs for an instance of SQL Server, how would I go about achieving this goal?

In Enterprise Manager, expand your server group and right-click on the server of your interest. Select Properties and choose the Database Settings and at the bottom change the default and data and log file location.
